Concept Art
-
It's always interesting to see how an attraction turns out after we have seen it on paper. What follows is a collection of concept art and other plans used to give us an impression before they are actually built.

Tidal Wave

-

Not only did the fantastic theming of Tidal Wave match the great detail put in to the following drawings, it turned out to be one of Tussaud's best looking rides ever created.

Colossus
-
Even after having a budget cut mid way through the project, Colossus still extended the dramatic Lost City theme throughout its area. John Wardley gave everyone a hint by means of the RCT version he made months in advance.

Rumba Rapids
-
If you compare the entrance drawn below to the real life version, you will see how tacky it actually turned out, along with the rest of the project. The plan below shows an alternative route for the queue line, taking it around the course of the ride without entering over the bridge currently used.

Nemesis Inferno
-
Nemesis Inferno was a great addition, with quite an immersive atmosphere when in the middle. What the concept art does not show is the one sided, tin shed volcano. Note the alternative design also considered.

Rush & Slammer
-
While still looking mighty impressive, Rush did not feature the designs shown below on the structure. Slammer turned out pretty identical, apart from the stripes on the two towers.

Stealth
-
Stealth was the ride which turned out most different from its concept art. While sharing the same theme and design, none of the drawings below came to fruition. A loss was the grandstand queuing area, but we still ended up with a great looking, vibrant ride.

Thorpe Park Hotel
-
With a clean, contemporary style, the Thorpe Park Hotel looks very attractive in its lake side setting.
